“Manakùna” is Manon’s current choreographic project.
In Manakùna, human bodies communicate with inherited ancestral traditions and with what they encounter “now”. Their dances and minds oscillate between fundamental energies and modern concepts.
Looking for – and encountering – points of friction between materials, between points of view, the bodies heat up in order to liberate the subliminal sensations held beyond the control of their minds.
In dialogue with the music composed by Pascal Parent for drums, the choreography seeks a reconciliation of times in and through the human body via the pulse.
Taking place today, it has been taking place before and will again. The path recalls itself, like the ocean currents infintely retracing themselves.
